The "Slow Poke"

Congratulations to Stretch from Nostalgia On Wheels for completing the build on his 1951 Triumph "Slow Poke". His first showing was last weekend at the Grand National Roadster Show were the bike received a second place trophy. I will keep the photos to a minimum but there is so much time and vintage parts put in to this that it is easy to get carried away. He asked if he could keep it at the 1939 garage for a bit, I said uh sure.

From the 1939 collection. I am still trying to get more information on these buttons as some are brands I have not heard of. They date from the late 1800's to 1930's. If anyone sees one they recognize and knows something about please share. The Sweet-Orr ones are my favorite as is the Strong Hold one. Lots of early Levis ones. Most of the Levis ones are from there tops. Other brands include; Lee, Boss Of The Road, Pay Day, Carhartt's, Head Light, Milford, Cant Bust Em, Rooster Brand , and Crown Brand.
